There’s something about Hawaii that just makes it an amazing place to take photos. It’s probably the sunshine, the incredible views, and the people, right? And even though all of Hawaii looks pretty great on camera, we’ve got some of the most Instagrammable places in Oahu that we think you shouldn’t miss.

From landmarks to tourist stops, let’s take a look at the top 10 Instagrammable places on Oahu and see how long it take before you’re itching to get out there!

    Ho’omaluhia Botanical Gardens

    Ho’omaluhia Botanical Gardens Best Places

Any Botanical Gardens you visit is bound to look great on camera, but there’s something special about Ho’omaluhia’s gardens. These are so vast and so varied that it feels more like a giant park.

The park is open every day, and it’s completely free. There’s a gigantic reservoir where you can go fishing, there are lakes and stream trails to enjoy, and foliage and mountains that will blow your mind.

You’ll feel like you’re in Jurassic Park, or as though you’ve gone back in time, and what’s more Instagrammable than that?

    Where to find it:

45-680 Luluku Rd, Kaneohe, HI 96744, United States

The Kualoa Ranch Jurassic Park Valley

So we think this is one of the best places to take family photos on Oahu. This is a real-life Jurassic Park, just without the living dinosaurs!

It’s actually where the famous movie was filmed, right in the valley between the Ko’olau Mountains. Lots of other movies were filmed here, too, from Fifty First Dates and Soul Surfer to the hit TV show LOST.

So if you love TV, this is a great place to take the family and see where the action was filmed! And to top it off, you can expect air-conditioned trucks for guests full of great snacks and food. There are zip lines, tours, ATVs, and so much more. There’s so much to do, and we’re sure you’ll come back with hundreds of photos.

    Where to find it:

49-560 Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe, HI 96744, United States

    Diamond Head

    Diamond Head Best Places Photo

You can’t go to Hawaii without visiting Diamond Head. It’s pretty much a rule – and not one you want to break!

No, there aren’t any diamonds here, but there is a gigantic volcanic tuff cone that looks incredible from afar and even more amazing from close up. The mountain is a U.S. National Natural Monument, and the hike is a really fun experience. It’s not too steep, either.

It’s one of the best Oahu photography spots because the photos taken from the top look amazing with Hawaii in the background, and the photos shot at the bottom feature the legendary Diamond Head. You can’t go wrong!

    Where to find it:

    Honolulu, HI 96815, United States

    Kaka’ako District Pow Wow Murals

The Kaka’ako District murals aren’t just a few pictures drawn on a wall…it’s a whole district of art! That alone makes it one of the best places to take pictures in Oahu.

This is the art district. Thrown in some retail and cafes, and you’ve got yourself the ultimate hipster hotspot in all of Hawaii. Every year, artists come along and paint new artwork on the old warehouses and various buildings in the region, meaning there’s always something new to see.

Oh, and don’t forget the art tours! Find yourself a local expert, and they’ll show you all the best spots that year and tell you a little about the art and the artists behind them.

    Where to find it:

Kaka’ako is a popular district that sits on the southern shore of Oahu.

    Kailua Beach

    Kailua Beach

Imagine this: perfect white sands, incredible mountain views, gentle waves crashing, and the sunset in the distance.

It’s a beach, but it’s more than a beach – it’s a Hawaii beach. And it looks great on camera.

Kailua Beach isn’t too busy, and it isn’t too quiet. Parking is accessible and free, there are lots of great places to take photos, or if you’re just looking to relax underneath a palm tree, then you can do that too.

This is one of our favorite Oahu photo spots because it’s somewhere you can really just kick back and relax after you’ve finished taking your snaps.

    Where to find it:

    Kailua, HI 96734, United States

    The North Shore

The North Shore is pretty big, and there’s no specific place that you necessarily need to head to. This is a long shore with amazing huts, palm trees, a pristine Hawaii ocean, and even hammocks.

Take a long walk, drive along the coast, or stop off on your way to somewhere else and snap some photos.

If you’re trying to get quintessential Hawaii scenery, this is absolutely the best place to go.

    Where to find it:

    North Shore, Waialua, HI

    Makapu’u Lighthouse Trail

Here’s one of our top Honolulu Instagram spots for families! Take the Makapu’u Lighthouse Trail, which is a paved trail meaning young family members and even strollers can come along with you. It’s a two-mile hike that can take you one or two hours, but remember that there’s no shade on the way…so it can get hot!

Bring water and snacks, and turn it into a fantastic trip out. Along the way, stop and take some photographs at the scenic shoreline, the Makapu’u tidepools, and look out at the vast ocean from the lighthouse when you reach the end.

    Where to find it:

The Makapu’u Lighthouse Trail is a 2.5-mile trail found near Waimanalo, Oahu. Reach it by the 22 or 23 Oahu Bus from Kuhio Avenue in Waikiki, heading to Diamond Head
